The weather was perfect, buy there was plenty to eat and drink, the face painters were busy and there was a crowd of about 700 to enjoy the music of West Fest 2011.

Nationally recognized as one of the best guitarists on the planet, Jeff Pevar kicked things off with his creative playing style using a variety of guitars. “The Peev” lived up to David Crosby’s description of him as “the nicest guy in the music business.” The Peev has toured and played with David Crosby, Stephen Still, BB King, Ricki Lee Jones and many more.

Fresh from their European tour, Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express was the headliner. They entertained the crowd with their Tom Petty-like original music.

All-in-all it was a wonderful evening with kids, grandkids, parents and grandparents enjoying the entertainment.

A special thanks to our volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible.

Mark your calendars for August 10, 2012 for West Fest 2012; I hope to see you there.
